In a sad twist of fate, it seems to appear that certain individuals, nay... i prefer the term ostriches inside empty salad bowls, are bound for that gorge, walking backwards as it were, and no matter what you do to shout out and tell them they will fall and get hurt, they refuse to listen, because it is more comfortable to live in a sheltered cocoon.
